Available with custom dimensions and with various add-on features, these sturdy-build beds solve a number of problems. They make gardening easier. The prices on this listing are for the standard versions of our beds at commonly requested dimensions.

Custom options include a deeper bed, a protective water seal, protective netting and a wider ledge around the bed’s perimeter. Details on all of these options are below.

Cedar Elevated Garden Bed

In addition to the benefit of planting, watering and harvesting at a comfortable height, our cedar elevated garden beds are high enough to keep most pets and pests out of your garden.

We construct the walls, floor, legs and upper ledge of our elevated garden beds with untreated cedar wood. The supporting structure below the floorboards is built with Douglas fir. Both are rot-resistant woods which hold up well over time in fluctuating weather.

Interior Depth

As you’ll see on several of the photos of this listing, most of our elevated beds have three horizontal boards composing its walls. On the inside, these beds have around 12 inches of interior depth for soil.

Adding another level of boards around the perimeter of the walls will increase the interior depth to around 17 inches:

Removable slats

Cedar slats rest atop the sturdy structure to form the floor of the garden bed. Your soil will rest directly on top of this floor. Our standard practice is to provide these slats and leave them unfastened at the bottom of the bed. This allows the client to establish the spacing between the slats that they prefer. This also allows the slats to expand and contract without splitting.

Ledge Around the Perimeter

We build the upper ledge of our garden beds with cedar boards that are 1-inch thick and 4.5″ wide. It conveniently holds drinks, tools and other items while you work in your garden.
