The Hampton Collection

Classy yet humble, elegant but simple. Therein lies the appealing contrast of our Hampton Collection of furniture pieces. Each piece of the group maintains a similar style; bold white framing with a darkly-stained top…complimented by a lower level, also stained dark, which runs the full width of the piece with no framing below it.

All the tops and lower shelves of the Hampton Collection are built with carefully joined lumber. The solid piece that results from this process is then planed, sanded, stained and finished to make it a dynamic slab of rustic beauty.

Unlike the top, which rests on the frame on all four sides, the lower shelf has no supporting frame on its underside. It appears to be floating between the legs. Thick dowels extend through the legs and into the shelf to hold it in place. That connection also provides extra stability for the whole piece.

We construct the frames of Hampton Collection pieces with solid, durable poplar. Poplar holds up well to the wear and tear of everyday use. The standard paint on the frames is a brilliant “Extra White” by Sherwin Williams. All “in stock” pieces from this collection will have this bright white paint on their frames. Custom pieces with a different paint on the frame or a different stain on the top and shelf will have a standard lead time which we will discuss.

The standard finish on a Hampton Collection piece is a clear matte polyurethane. Please specify if you’d like an alternative finish on your custom piece.
